We’re into the second week of 2012, and before your conviction for working out fades, I want to do a little exercise — this time not at the gym.
I’m a part of a local group of women on Facebook trying to kick our booties in gear in the new year. A few ladies were getting frustrated with their bodies and playing the hate game. What’s the hate game? Being your worst critic and dissing on yourself. Sometimes out loud. Sometimes by looking for confirmation in others. When I do it it’s usually silent criticism in the mirror or a grunt of frustration to my husband. No matter how you do it, it’s bad. It’s toxic for your confidence and it can wreck your conviction to make positive change (as ironic as that is).
Today I challenge you one thing. Find something positive about your body you like. If you do a weekly weigh-in (I do mine on Monday mornings), make this a part of it. Then share it! Take a photo, tell a friend, write it down, blog it, tweet it, or comment below. No need to be shameful of what we love about ourselves.
So this week I like my calves. They are nicely toned (and hurt like hell) after a few solid days of exercise.
What do you love about your body?

Great calves!! Great post!! It all begins with loving yourself, the rest falls into place. Keep up the great work x
Today I like my curves. I am reminding myself that curves are feminine and it is ok to show my curves
